best busse knife??

All of them.

(Thread hijack in progress...:p)

Now let's talk about REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF:

What is the best scotch and what is the best cigar???

I think I have seen this post the most of any post.. Which is the best busse knife. which is the one knife you would take for a survival situation. which is the best knife for deployment... I guess If I were just now getting into busse, the choices would be somewhat overwhelming, not to mention looking at the homepage and seeing only one knife up for sale. I think there needs to be a sticky thread entitled "IF YOUR NEW TO THE BUSSE KNIFE WORLD>> READ HERE FIRST" that explains sales, the company store, Ganzaas, blade show, and Hog Treachery. Man, I really wish someone would write a Busse Book with pics, stories and all. What a best seller it would be. Between HOGs, sending in pics to LUNDE, and stories, It would be an incredible source of Busse history and models... in fact, it should be done if volumes, for ever 3 years of Busse products. oh well, rambling.. But a great idea. someone with LOTS OF TIME should pursue this.

How about a nuclear meltdown straight handle satin jack ?

:barf: no need to modify something that is already perfect....

Nuclear meltdown adds nothing to improving the design... Just seems like a gimmick to me..

Once again the Satin Jack is the best all rounder , nuff-said

FSH is my fav! The hellrazor is a good all around knife that is smaller and less money!

Even better than the Sar 5 or SS? I find that hard to beleive.
Its a big pot, someone has to stir it...

:D

I'd say it's a toss up between the NMFBM and the FBMLE. But lately I've been taking a shine to my BATACLE......

They're all good. I don't think there is any "best one". The one you have when you need it is the "best one".

If I had one of the hard to get bastids I probobally would have said SJ instead of BAIII:(

PM SENT>>>>> I'll help ya bro :)

Dang .... You have a great sense of humor bro:D.. Those are pot stirring words indeed....

Hey ... but some people really do like the Sar5 better ...:confused: not so sure about the SS :barf::barf: but prob. because they never really used an original SJ ..???

I was also told several original Satin Jacks LEs were ground by Jerry .. !!:eek::eek::eek: :thumbup::thumbup:

Stock up fellas !!! :)

The best Busse knife is the one you have with you when you need it. I hope I don't have to baton too much wood with this AS though!

Ken,
My Bro, I have one of the hard to get bastids and clearly some folks are just into one knife which is fine, but I am not so sure it is the do it all. This thread will bring up a slew of opinions, none particularly right or wrong.... I think it depends on your take, what you need a knife for in your particular world. I have the BAIII, and love it :D There are so many great knives to pick here, lucky us

Don't be so sure. I have had one or two in my time and they just did not do it for me. I do still have my ABA though and have no plans to ever part with it.

First of all , I have owned well over 80 Busses ... and used a lot of them.... So just being interested in one blade was non existent for me... I have finally concluded what is best after a year and 1/2 of searching !!.. It was an absolute pleasure using any Busse off the record.. INFI is the bomb !!!!

Nahhhhhhh, It really is the "do it all". Its important not to confuse these other HOGS and give them the wrong idea ..

SJ for chopping ???? What ???? yea ... for real ... Buy a 1/4" original Satin Jack and get back to me...

Folks , If you are looking for the perfect all rounder maybe it is best I narrow it down... instead of just saying SJ ..SJ ,.,,, !!

Satin Jack LE / Full height grind / 1/4'' thick / zero conxex edge. .

There ya go .. the perfect Busse... The only way I can see anyone disagree is if the never "really" used one or prefer anything with a TAC handle..:barf:

the vid speaks for itself ... chopping through a treated maple 7 ply / pressed / glued skateboard deck... this is many times more difficult to chop through than a lot of wood you would find in the forest.. :)
