What's the best or favorite carbon steel Mora for survival/bushcraft? Do they come with 5"-6" blades?

I like the clipper. It's not 5-6" though. I think there is one. I'm sure someone will chime in with it.

Seem like Pitdog had a longer one, but not sure if it was carbon.

I love my clipper. Great fitting handle, sharp as a razor and holds and edge too.

Of course, if your a bit of a sharpening freak like myself, there is nothing like sharpening a scandi grind on a large bench stone. Just feels right.

Get a Hultafors knife.IMHO theyre better than the Moras for bushcraft.
The Moras are pretty good too,but the Hultafors are awsome at wood work.

780 Triflex Craftsman is the one I've used most lately. Only a bit over 4" though.

There are longer blades, but they top out at a little less than .100" thick which may or may not work for you.

This one is carbon but is a 7" blade

My vote's for the 911, though I don't see a lot of comments on it. I don't know why, it's a great handle, and a nice size. But, if the Mora 2000 was carbon, it might take the top spot from the 911.

You can get longer Mora blades at Lee Valley tools, around 6" or so if I recall correctly, and put your own handle on. I built one for a black powder shoot prize one time, and the guy who won it thought pretty highly of it.

I recently got a 2000. It is my first Mora. I would love to see one of these in carbon steel.

The 711 arrived today! Awesome handle for those with large hands. I like this handle better than the one on the 2000. Nice little knife. It's not that sharp though...time to put a real edge on it.

I ended up getting the #711. Depending on how I like it, I might get the #731 also.

I've tried several and have experience with some great (& expensive knives). The 711 is one of my favorites of all knives, no matter the cost.

The handle is large and a winner for me, and the steel takes and holds an edge with the best.

Yes, I had to get a flat DMT diamond hone and do the scandi grind edge nice and flat. It wasn't to begin with.
Once that's done, they are sharp!
