What about an ultrasonic cleaner,for knives with no natural handles scales? I have one,and was considering using it for stuff like that.They use them for cleaning gun parts and stuff.
Careful with the gunscrubber (contain halogens?) on stainless, the 300 series is especially susceptable to chloride stress corrosion cracking but I belive Martensitic stainless steels are pretty resistant to chloride cracking (as well as ferritic) but I wouldn't take the chance. Go with a non-chlorinated brake cleaner instead as long as it dosent affect the plastics/polymers/whatever on your knife.
