Best companion knife for BK7 knife

So I got myself a BK7 (awesomeeee knife) and want a companion knife for food prep and some whittling. I have a mora companion knife ( they are pretty tough) but I would prefer a full tang knife that is not shorter than 3in and not longer than 5in and cannot be very heavy as I will be hiking with it and the BK7.

Any suggestions on a companion knife for the BK7?
Should it be stainless since it will deal with food?

What knife would you recommend from the BK series (I am really torn on that BK15) and are their any other knife (from other brands) you would recommend (Condor, Tops..etc)?

Tell you what I absolutely love to carry my cold steel pendleton mini hunter in Vg1 as a companion to my BK7 i got that little knife for like $20 and man I think it has done more work than my Becker has lol
