It will likely always be Cold Steel. With the Natchez, Laredo, Trail Master and Recon Scout and others coming in with 3v or San Mai steel and excellent fit-finish they are hard to beat.

I have owned several LionSteel knives and every one of them was top notch in every way. I currently own zero LionSteel knives but that’s not because there was anything wrong with them.

I voted for Cold Steel because they are such an excellent value. Take “Steel in their name” out of the equation and they are still one of the best bang for the buck brands out there. You get a knife that you can have full confidence in for a very reasonable price in most cases.

I really like Cold Steel, Lionsteel, and Real Steel. I think they all make great knives, just different. I actually just got my first Cold Steel just months ago and now have an AD10 and a Bush Ranger. Both are amazing knives for the money. Lionsteel knives look amazing and have pushed the limits on manufacturing for a long time now with all their integral framelocks, as well as using aluminum instead of titanium in a framelock. I love their smoothly crowned spines also. And Real Steel really surprised me with their quality. I only have one steel framelock of theirs, but it has a true scandi ground 14c28n blade, which is pretty rare in a folder.
