Best/correct way to inexpensively sharpen a pocket knife

I like my Norton econostone much better than my dollar store alox fwiw, I don't need to flatten it as much and it seems to cut faster. The harbor freight 4 side diamond box is also pretty badass. I also bought a Ruixin Pro 3 clamped system off the he bay for like $23 that works pretty well, not super happy with the stones (especially the course) they dish quickly. Just got the diamond stones today, will have to report back on those when I get a chance to use them. All of those, though, I really just use to set new bevels.
Mostly once the thinned bevels are done I use a Lansky Turnbox or the 600 grit of the HF diamonds to set a micro bevel (if I want fine or toothy). Strop a little (just a little) on an old leather belt glued to a 2x2 loaded with Herbs Yellowstone and done.
