"Best" Custom Flipper??

I would look at Greg lightfoot. When you were going over your wants it seems like you are describing his fighter exactly. I really like mine, it is a great knife!

For a stretch to $700 you can get yourself a will moon. If you consider go Jim skeletons moons

In your price range you can't beat a Jeremy Robertson El Patron or the Curtiss F3. For a little more cash Greg Lightfoot makes every bit the knife Kirby does and I enjoy his grinds better. Good luck!

Unfortunately with the way the market has been going lately, $500-600 wont even be close to enough to buy the "best" custom flipper. RJ martin is widely regarded as the king of flippers. I dont think ive ever seen a Q36 go for under 1200. Other top flipper makers such as Rassenti, shirogorov, geoff(aka tuffthumbz), and southard also have their knives routinely go for over a grand. For the 500-600 price point you can probably get a nice mid-tech direct from a maker. Check out jake hoback's second mid-tech kwaiback run!

If you're asking for the best RJ is indeed the king but you're spending 1, 500 $+ for a q36 I have mine in my pocket now worth every penny
Best of IKBS is Tom Mayo then Begg IMO Mayo flipper will be around 3k though
Bronze washer is Gerry McGinnis then probably Graham both will be 1, 300ish
Fraley is another very top notch maker that will cost around 3k as well
For 500 $ I suggest you pick up an eddleman

I don't own one (yet) but a Bodega Field Grade might be worth looking into, seems to fit your criteria and price range.

Ray Laconico comes to mind. His knives are crazy hard to get though.
*Edit - I didn't see how old this thread was... I'm sure OP has found something by now.

This thread was from 6 months before you joined, haha. I'm pretty sure he made his purchase by now. Guess I'll check out Sam Eddleman for kicks though.
