As soon as someone sends me a picture and says can ya make it just like this guy did? My answer is no, why don't you get him to make it for you, that's his design. The other one is, make it just like your so and so but a little wider here, a lil longer there and so on. I run away from this, fast. Been bit lots on that deal. Won't do it anymore

Thread 'Knife Models by David Mary and Collabs'

The thought of compiling this list had been intimidating me at first, because of the fairly wide variety of designs I've made now. Including them all would be a pretty difficult, perhaps impossible challenge. When I started a few years ago, it never occurred to me to document my design progress. Nor even to name everything I made, especially as so many are one-offs, variants, or similar designs. So this will not be a comprehensive or chronological list, but more of a presentation of some knives I have come up with that I believe represent why I got into knife making in the first place...

Very easy to work with , honest and straightforward . Creative and not yet spoiled .

Best way to have a custom made , is not try to dictate exactly every detail ,but more what you want to end up with functionally and aesthetically .

David has a real knack for knowing what will work ...and what won't . Trust that your maker knows more than you . ;)
