Not to join the proliferation of "strange" posts on women, socks, etc.

but I just wore out a pair of Arizona Carpenter pants (Both the watch pocket and regular front pocket edge) from carrying my knives.
What brand do you recommend?
Oh Hell! I guess this IS another "strange" post? LOL

I find Wrangler jeans tough, reasonably-priced and adequate.

I encourage you NOT to buy any Levi jeans, or other Levi brand products, since they support the handgun confiscation groups.

It's an obvious short step for any anti-gun sponsor to support anti-knife groups.

Thanks bad,
I haven't bought Levi's for 15 years. But, didn't know of their "stance".

Guess Pascal jeans, have side pockets, that are great for knife carry. If you have ever seen Bram Frank, that's all he wears. Al

I was surprised to see that Carhart jeans didn't hold up as well as I would have hoped(the denim kind, I would think the duck cloth ones would wear better). So, I'm looking forward to seeing input on some other brands, too.

Dickies also sells jeans in multiple weights of denim that have a nice "cell phone" pocket. Looks just about right for a nice large folder...

It really bothers me when I wear out a pair of my Calvins.(Nothing comes between me and my Calvins)

In all seriousness, try looking into the Elishewitz Kangaroo pouch. It protects the vulnerable front jeans pocket.

the ones you're wearing.

Cargo pants & painters' pants are a good idea because they have more pockets, but I don't own any yet so I can't comment on brands.

The best brand of jeans I've found is definitely Harley Davidson. 2 reasons for this: 1. the zippo pocket is on the left side, it's kinda weird to get used to at first, but the Zippo doesn't interfere with RF pocket knife draw/carry. 2. there's a leather tag above the back right pocket, sewn on the top and bottom but not the sides, so a belt can be threaded under it. If you're like me and don't wear a belt, you can clip a folder inside that leather tag. It's quick draw, good location (for those "your money or your knife" situations), doesn't get in the way or take up pocket space. I carry a AFCK or 710 there every day with no problems at all, hardly know it's there. Lee jeans also have a similar tag, but it's smaller and works well with mini-AFCK, small KFF, & similar sized knives. For this location, tip down works best for me.

Does anyone remember Sedgefield brand jeans?
Are they still around?
The Arizona carpenter jeans had a great watch pocket. Deep and not too wide. Some of the jeans have too shallow of a watch pocket . Or too narrow or both.
I'm 47 and generally dress in jeans or jean shorts. I'm a "bit "rotund" LOL 6ft 1/2in and anywhere between 225 and 270 lbs. Also I have NO ARSE according to my wife so going without a belt isn't an option. ROFLMNonExistantAssOff

Sorry to disappoint anyone with brand loyalty, but just about all major brands of American made bluejeans are made in several plants in Texas- each of these plants make the jeans for many brands - and individual companies buy their yard goods on the open market - no one particular mill suppliea any particular brand. Also, the cotton fibers grown today are much shorter than the ones of 30 or 40 years ago, so those jeans that folkd wore back then - or earlier - were much more resistant to wear than the stuff on the market today. So it goes.

Thanks russ.

I wear Harley Biker Blue Jeansbecause I have a Harley and the front coin/watch pocket is on the Left Hand side.

I carry my small Left Handed Sebenza clipped inside it.
