Best EDC for industrial maintenance work

I am a HVAC service fitter for a mechanical contractor. I generally keep one knife from my collection to use at work. Over the last few years I have used a ZT 0550 in S35vn , PM2 in S30v , Protech TR3 154cm and recently a Kershaw link. All have great except the steel in the Kershaw which is junk. I am now switching to a Manix2 with S30v. My knife must be able to hold a decent edge and deploy blade one handed in and out and with a glove on.

Definitely a multitool of some kind, preferably with pliers, and then something easy to sharpen that isn't too expensive. +1 on a Mora

I will definitely check into those. I've never really thought about mora. I would love to compliment a folder with a multitool and a fixed blade. Sounds like a pretty good trifecta
Yup, I'm a carpenter and have a Mora in the tool box if not on me, a leatherman on my belt, and a razor sharp pocket knife in the front right pocket. I also have a utility knife on me for my drywall and rough cutting jobs. The leatherman blades are only used as scrapers or for when the utility knife is too short of a blade (basically its a beater blade.)

Hey mdprice55, I was gonna post an answer here but it was too long and I was having a hard time posting it so I wound up breakin' it up and startin' a new thread to fit it all. If you're interested in what I used go HERE for the link to the thread with pictures. Hope this helps.
