Best edc gentlemen's folder $250 max

I second the Ti Sage. The wire clip really doesn't say "knife" either.

Benchmade Gold and Blue class knives may have something you're looking for...705, 706, 707, and several other models.

Kershaw and Fallkniven have a few gentelmen's folders in their inventory at a fraction of $250.

Spyderco Caly3 is a nice little knife as well as the Delica or Rookie in G-10.

A small Al Mar SERE might serve you well also.

For $250 I'd still go with the small Sebenza on the used market. They're a great work knife that you shouldn't be afraid to use, and they can pass as a gentleman's folder as well.

+1 for the Kershaw Nakamura. It opens really smoothly and the figuring on the handle is beautiful. I took of the clip and carry in my pocket. It's more comfortable in the hand that way too.

Another option I just discovered would be to take your favorite knife and have after-market wood scales made up. Forum member Philip Dobson made cocobolo scales for my Kershaw R.A.M. It really classes up one of my favorites.

I like the Kershaw Nakamura, and it's very reasonably priced...recently discontinued, I would get one before they are all gone...

I'd drop the extra cash for the small sebenza. It's worth the money.

I waited until I found a small sale on BF. Got mine for $280 NiB.

How about something like this Northfield Congress?

She's gorgeous, built to last, and cost less than $100.

How about the Benchmade Shoki. Available online for a little less than $150. S30V steel, leather pouch like William Henry, and a very classy design.
