I would say get a spyderco delica FFG.  The standard VG10 steel has great wear resistance compared to other baseline steels, it's easy to sharpen, awesome for edc use.  I carry a g10 version which is a little more stout feeling in the pocket.  

If you can pick up a Manix 2 FFG, thats another good choice. Almost any of spyderco's FFG blades are fantastic slicers and edc options.


The para 2 is a little thick, but like noctis said about the S90V CF one: "its nice and light" and it has a super blade. The s30v is just like the previous...both are awesome folders.
  

You would probably really like a spyderco sage. plus then you get s30v and a nice carbon fiber handle. it is one of the best edc blades I have used....aside from my partiality to the g10 delica.
