Best EDC Knife?

I have been looking for a good knife to carry everyday. I would like to ask, what do YOU think the ideal EDC knife would be?
Spyderco Stretch FRN, ideally in ZDP-189, but VG-10 version is cheaper/gets sharper/easier to maintain. Both fit your hand like a glove and quickly become an EDC favorite.

The ideal EDC...Hmmmm. First it must feel good in hand. Then construction and blade steel. I carry large edc folders 3.5 + big hands, lol, unless wearing shorts or going formal. The list is endless with great manufacturers listed in above posts. Since you have a great swiss champ, which solves most of your every day and obscure uses, you can carry whatever feels right. I prefer full grind slicers.

The small Sebenza.
Capable of doing most daily tasks in a compact format.
For me it's the perfect EDC cutting tool.
There are tasks that need other/larger tools, screwdrivers or fixed blades...
Mine has wooden inlays, so it's nice to handle in colder environment.

Start by doing some research to see what appeals to you. Next find somewhere that sells what you like and try it in your hand. Then buy and use it. After all that, the addiction starts and there is no going back. I started this way and bought a Paramilitary 2 and thought this is perfect I never will need another knife! I now have a large plain Sebenza 21 in my pocket. Still love that Paramilitary though.

Why it's the CRKT Hi Jinx, of course. Otherwise it wouldn't have won the 2014 Blade Show Best Knife of the Year Award, right?

Seriously, "subjective" covers it. For me it's the ZT 0770CF. It's the only folder ZT has produced that doesn't belong in what I refer to as the "pocket brick" category. You can call the 0770CF a lot of things, but regardless of what it says on the box, "overbuilt" isn't one of them. ;)

I like the 0770 also; have it in M390 although Elmax would be just as good for casual carry.
I am surprised that the HiJinx made it; it's really very heavy as 6.4 oz. My Zaan is 5 oz; Sebenzas (large) are 4.8 oz. I'm sure that the blade-steel is nice, but yeah, I come right back to the 0770CF...nice knife...was a great price not very long ago.

I love the Spyderco Sage models, particularly the 2. The 3 in CF is very nice and the "old" discont'd blue G10 is really an eye-catcher. Cannot go wrong with a Sage or any Caly3 or 3.5. Great folders for a decent price.

The new Spyderco Native 5 LightWeight in FRN.

Great knife and inexpensive. Fantastic ergos and a good steel. If you do not like FRN, for $40 more you can get G10 variant with the same steel, adding another $80 you can get CF/S110V variant. If you are Titanium lover, get Ti Fluted Native5, which is around $240. I am carrying one of them every day for about three years. Dark green Forum Native in my pocket right now.

My choices have come down to these:
Sebenza 21 (kind of expensive)
Sypderco:
-Native 5
-Tenacious
-ParaMilitary 2
-Sage (1,2 I dont know)
-Manix 2

(what should I get? HELP!)

Try the Native 5.
Probably a good point to start.
Next on the list would be the PM2 and the Sage.
Can't go wrong with a Spyderco.
Good price-performace-ratio.
From what you wrote, the Sebenza is out and from the Spydercos you prefer the Native.
You like good steel, although the Tenacious teases you, then the PM2 as it has excellent reputation (I'm sure that is for a reason).
Then there is the Sage series --> integral-lock, nice knife.
hope this helps.

There isn't a "best EDC knife" but while no one can deny that Spyderco make great knives, you might find that something like a large Cold Steel Voyager (clip point) works too.

My most used EDC knife is a Mini Tuff Lite. It's a knife without pretentiousness, that just exists to cut stuff. You should be able to pick up one for about $20.
