Best EDC under 50 bucks??

I somehow make AUS-8 steel rust easily. I sweat quite a bit while at work. I have tried many remedies but they only last a short while before rust starts again. With that being said I would say spend an extra 5-10 dollars and get a Spyderco Delica. VG-10 steel is holding up much better for me.

That's a good point. Steels are interesting though, and I'm learning a little bit about them as I go along. My little brother is really rough on things, and the RAT and Zancudo are holding up very well. He also has an S30v Manix that I got for him because I know that it's a very tough knife. Anyhow, he's managed to chip up the blade in a hurry. His Aus 8 knives just roll and are easily straightened back out with a little pull-through sharpener. For him I think the Aus 8 is perfect - especially for what he does with his knives (anything/everything). I on the other hand am very happy with my VG10 Delica 4, and recommend it regularly.

I love aus8 for that reason: it's easy to beat on and whip back into shape.

Count me in for being a fan of the RAT1/2 and the Thermite. The Kershaw-Emwersons are also favorites of mine. Please don't forget the time-honored buck 110 as well.

Points well taken on the scales of the RAT1 but I still really like the knife for its price point.

I've been into knives before they were cool and i have to say, this is a great time to be into knives if you want to explorer the budget end of things as there are great offerings.

Absolutely pal, couldn't agree more.
