Any recommendations for a compact EDC knife with a S30V blade at/ under 3"?

I like the Spyderco Native -any other ideas?

Thanks!

I think that for the best EDC pocketknife folder with CPM S-30V blade steel is narrowed down to 2 Spyderco folders. To me it is a virtual draw between the C-69 Lil Temperance leaf blade model and the 80mm Manix Jr. Those 2 blades are just super.

I think the tie-breaker would simply boil down to what handle you would prefer because both blades are fairly similar in geometry. I list those 2 "muscle knives" simply because there is no limit to the jobs you could do with either knife.

Notch up another one for Spyderco

80mm Manix gets my vote. Also consider the Delica ZDP...different kind of knife but quite a cutter. If you are patient...there'll be a Caly 3 with G10 and S30V? soon....or is it VG10?

To be honest...I prefer the VG10 then the S30V on Spydies...dunno why.

If you have the cash, Small Sebenza. Any of the Spydercos mentioned are also great for EDC. I'd also second the vote for the Blue ZDP Delica.

My vote is for the Native on the basis of price and size. It's a great knife and the one that winds up in my pocket most frequently.

I have the mini Manix and I find that while it's a superb knife, the size, strength and weight of it are overkill for most of my EDC needs, which admittedly are pretty light in nature. The Native seems just right for small cutting needs, and can handle serious jobs very well too.

I like a lot ofwhat's already been suggested here. Different shaped blades:

Spyderco Yohimbo
Spyderco Dodo

On price alone it's hard to beat the Native. If you want to spend a little more look at the Ritter Mini Grip or a Kershaw Avalanche the Benchmade 440 is a nice knife plus it's fairly sheeple friendly.

The small Sebbie is a most excellent choice. For some reason, I thought it was a hair OVER 3 inches. other wise I would have recommended it for sure!! DUH, onmy part! I am wrong!! It is 2.94".

You would love the S30V Leek with G-10 handle! Its a three inch blade with a four inch handle. I think it carries easier than the Spyderco Native since the Leek is more streamlined. You can get the Leek for about $65.

Doug Ritter Mini Grip is a good one. That is what I am carrying now. THANKS! Kevin
