Best ESEE combo?

Izula and 5 gets my vote. You get the precise work with the izula and the brute force of the 5. Best of both worlds

For the larger knife I would generally recommend the 5 but if weight is a concern then the 6 is your best choice. It is a bit longer but thinner and lighter.

For the smaller blade the 3 Mil. It is small and light enough to do anything you want but has a larger handle than the Izula II which I find more comfortable.

If you want to add a third blade then the Junglas.

I have a 4 and a Junglas. After looking at all the combinations I decided these 2 were the best if I was only going to own 2 ESEE's. You can't do serious buchcraft without the Junglas and the 4 is small enough for all the small tasks but big enough at the same time.

my ESEE combo is a 5 and Junglas. I figure that is enough knife for any sort of TEOTWAWKI type fun that could happen

to me i like the lite machete and the 5, but i am in the woods a lot and i live in georgia so i have a ton of brush around here. edc i would go 6 and izula. but what i carry on me all the time is 3 izula's and a 5 that is just me. if i am going with my pack it is 5 izula's, junglas, a 5, and my lite machete, that is just me. overall nothing tops the junglas. i have all but the 4 and the rest stay at home or in the vehicles. to me the izula's are the most versitile followed by the 5 then junglas. i have climbed a tree with the izula's.

something small and something large. On the belt, a 3 or 4. Strapped to the pack, a Junglas or Lite Machete, depending on the environment.
I own the 4, 5, Junglas, Lite Machete, and HEST. The 5 is bad ass, but heavy, and has the thickest edge of them all. Again for escaping downed aircraft.
For camping, the 4, hunting the 3. Chopping wood, clearing trails, killing a boar, the Junglas. It's 9.5" of blade, light weight, and fast. If you need more reach, the LM is a great machete.

Well right now i rock the 5 and 3 together and i love the set up.:thumbup: The 5 can handle pretty much any job you can throw at it while the 3 is great for the fine things. Dont get me wrong the 3 can definitley hold it own but with the 5 you dont need to put the 3 up to larger tasks. I enjoy carrying both. Unfortunatley i dont own an izula (yet that is:D) so i cannot speak for it but i can imagine it would work well paired with the 5 as well.

Outdoors:
for two blades - machete and 3
for three blades - machete, 3 and 5

a machete could be a must depending on location for obvious reasons. the three can handle a lot of semi heavy and fine work as other people said as well. the 5 is great for batoning and other heavy tasks.

Urban:
for two blades - izula and 5
for three - i dont think that you will need 3 blades

izula=general use. 5=SHTF
