Best European Knifes

Fontenille-Pataud France
Chambriard France
Opinel France
Victorinox CH
Böker Deutschland (yes slipjoints in carbon still made there)
Marttiini Suomi
Mora Sverige
Kizlyar Rossiya

These are all manufacturers, not custom makers (there's lots of them still!)

Victorinox, Opinel and Mora are very nice production knives. Brusletto and Marttiini make great knives too. The Herder knives are in use for many decades here and if I am correct they're still German made.

No mention of Helle?
And my currant personal favorite is the Enzo Trapper, D2 scandi, the perfect bushcraft knife in my opinion.

Dagestan is located in the Caucasus, well west of the Urals, and is a part of the Russian Federation.

Puma made some pretty good knives in Germany back in the 60's,I don't know where they are making them now.

Just so you know...Fallkniven knives are made in Japan, and Bokers Plus and Magnum range are made in China. Many manufactureres are located in Europe, but make their knives elsewhere. Pohl Force is another example. They are located in Germany, but produce their knives in Taiwan. Their EOD range is made in Italy though.

But to answer you question, Extrema Ratio and Lionsteel are both located and produce in Italy, and both make some great knives.

I beleive there are some Falkkniven knives made in Sweden, and there are still a few Bokers made in Germany

Also, has Otter- Messer been mentioned yet?
(i.e. Mercator K55 which is a hell of a knife)

Lionsteel manufacturing is located in Maniago, Italy, and as already mentioned the new Pohl Force EOD range of knives are manufactured by Lionsteel. The region has earned worldwide recognition within the knife world for its quality. If quality is what you are looking for this is a good place to start.
