I this is what I want 3-4 inch blade maybe 4.5 I want it to fold out with wrist actionor at least fast with my finger it should be suitable for self defence and hold a edge well but still be durable and light weight This maybe too much to ask so I may eliminate some of these things

Griptilian or the Camillus EDC...

I just got a Spyderco Wegner for 70 bucks delivered. I guess I wouldn't call it lightweight, but it is durable as all get out and meets all your other criteria no problems.

I recommend the very slim and lightweight Spyderco Military w/ComboEdge. You can order one for only $90 through Linda Glasshartt (a Texas Spydie dealer) at her email address: Glasshartt@aol.com.

Blade length; 4"
Blade steel; CPM440V-holds a great edge and has a high resistance against rust and corrosion
Edge type; PlainEdge, SpyderEdge, or ComboEdge ;)
Lock; Linerlock with nested liner in the G10 handle. IMO, the BEST linerlock out there in production
Handle material; G10
Overall weight; Only 4 oz.!!!

I have owned both a Griptilian and Camillus EDC. There was nothing wrong with the EDC per se, but for everyday utility use I have found the Griptilian to be considerably better.

In my experiece the Benchmade Griltilian series is the finest pure using folders out there. Great lock, great handle comfort, great blade, and an excellent price point.

They are available in a number of different sizes and blade profiles depending on what you prefer.

In my opinion these knives are superior in virtually every respect to the popular Spyderco lightweight series.

Wow lots of choices the military looks like what I want I guess i will have to order it from the states its 215 bucks canadian if i buy it through Linda Glasshartt will i have to pay tax and brokerage?

The Spyderco FRN Endura would serve you very well, and the VG-10 steel that the new model comes in is excellent blade-steel.

What does FRN Mean I have seen it about 10 times on the forum
And VG-10 apparently takes a wicked edge maybe I will get that endura I havent fully decided yet

FRN= Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon. The Endura will be a good choice IMO. ;)

95 USD(covers shipping too) = 147.32, and about 10%($15 extra) when it gets to your door... duty and taxes...

Buy it from any store up here and it starts at 200...

I bought my CE Millie 440V 2002 from Linda "Glasshartt" back in August... worth every penny. Even if those pennies are $0.0155 (after conversion) each
