Best FFG (full flat grind) folders?

After analyzing your detailed, descriptive...question; Ive come to the conclusion of the Spyderco Endura FFG.

Opinel, Swiss Army Knife.

Upping the budget you have too many options to list, be more specific about what you are looking for and what you will do with the knife. Laguioles and spydercos are pretty nice.

My Sage 1 is a tough blade with a solid tip, great slicer and because of the width it's great for spreading mayo. The knife itself is smooth with no blade play. The knife carries very light for it's size. Mentioned the Sage because you mentioned Spyderco.

The Benchmade Shoki knives are great, but not considered hard-use. Neither are large.

The RAT1 is a very good knife, I also like Spydercos, I have the Byrd Cara Cara 2, Persistence, and Endura with FFG. I would imagine that the bigger Spydercos with FFG would be just as good.

I'd say the manix 2 xl, military and caly line are my top contenders. The caly is a slicing machine!!

oh. here's why I'm afraid of spydercos: skip to 24 minutes:

I've carried a knife for many years and have yet to find myself in a position where I needed to pound the tip of my knife into a piece of metal with a mallet.

I don't see any earthly reason why you would be abusing a pocket knife like that.
That said, if I was in a situation where I had to I would...but other than that, pretty pointless.

Edit: amflud beat me to it. But seriously, what do you expect from a pocket knife...not to mention a cheap one!

I've always thought Vininull's videos entertaining but seriously who would try to shave aluminum in the same manner as one carves wood?
When will you need to get a mallet and attempt to use a folding knife as a makeshift nail for a steel plate?
Why would you attempt to baton a piece of wood larger in diameter than the entire knife?
There's testing knives to see who performs well but then there's shooting two guys in the stomach to see who dies slower and that one is the winner.
Anyways, there are so many FFG knives to count. In fact, if you want completely and utter blade strength don't go with one, if you say that video as a realistic and reasonable test of a knife go with a knife along the lines of the TOPS Xcest folder.

Al Mar Ultra Light series are FFG. They are very good slicers, excellent fit and finish.
