Well the point is that spydercos have a huge freakin hole in the blade, which creates a major weak point.

It's just nice to know that a knife will definitely hold up to some minor amount of torsional stress should you be in a situation that required you to hard use it. What's so great about a spyderhole when a thumb stud works well?
