Best fixed blade for <100$?

I need some opinions on the best fixed blade for under 100 bucks, plain edge preferrably, looking for something tough and rugged that i can use camping/hunting and carry quite comfortably (no gigantic blades), right now im leaning towards the SOG seal pup, but can anyone tell me is the "glass reinforced" handle basically the same material as G10? its relatively cheap and ive heard good things about AUS8. Id love to hear your recommendations!
 
Look at the Buck Nighthawk line. Several Blade lengths available. Great Grip Ergo's and awesome pricing IMHO!!!!
 
You can get an RC3 from Rat Cutlery for under $100. IMHO it's a great knife for the campsite and for food prep as I've used it for both and it's served me well for both.

I agree, or if you want a little bigger the RC4 is also less than $100.
 
Get the best steel you can afford=S30V or VG10 . Full-tang for brute strength too!

The SOG Seal Pup is good enough for most tasks :thumbup: Zytel is made from cheaper materials than G10 and as a result, is more desirable but honestly, it doesn't feel much different to me. Zytel feels rougher but equally grippy in my opinion, if the knobbly bits are the same depth. Both are very durable
 
This thread got me so pumped .. I just got back from the dealer with a 6" Puma Bowie + a 5" Buck Kalinga in 420 HC!! Thanx, I got more blades than brains now! Lol.
 
Im a minimalist and i have to say im quite a sucker for moras, i just ordered a carbon (RC 60, .096 thick and 3 3/4" wide blade) mora from this site http://www.bensbackwoods.com and the total was 11$ :D (including shipping) you CANNOT beat that. If this knife doesnt suite my needs then i will take my loss (11$? big whoop.) and get the RC-4 (which i will probably get in the future anyways) Thanks guys! Maybe i will start a new thread "best fixed blade knife < 10$" haha
