Best flipper EDC?

Shallot if you want a top of the line steel, I have mine in ZDP-189. If you want something smaller and cheaper take a loooooooong hard look at the OD-1. Superb knife. I got one from Wally World, and I love it like no other.

Add another + 1 for the RAM.
The action is about as smooth as it gets.

How much are you gonna look at spending? You kinda have no real limitations for us to go by. I love the shallot especially if you can find one in s110v! great little knife and is a great EDC.

Oh, well, short of a DDR or XM-18, I'm really open to just about anything. It would be nice to branch outside the big 3 brands, of course, provided the knife is quality.

It's a shame Darrel Ralph's fantastic designs have spoiled me (I own a Typhoon, a Camillus Heat, and the Cuda maxx) because I find Kershaw's designs visually unappealing.

I like most Benchmades, I would like Spyderco a bit better if they had a flipper, and I find most of Kershaw's knives look too goofy.

Thanks for all the suggestions for far, I have no idea what to decide on.

Are there any other custom or off brand (non big 3) knives I should be looking at? I could see myself paying for a custom down the line.

Sorry, didn't see this. Kershaw recommendations retracted. :foot:

As a knife noob, I liked Kershaw, then I got too cool for Kershaw for a number of years, but the new crop of ZT and non-AO flippers have lured me back.

My experience is that many flippers need some wrist action to open. It just seems that "sweet spot" between easy flipping versus any side to side blade play is pretty fine. Maybe too fine to hit consistently.
