Best folder between $50-$60

Depending on where you look, you jkkst might be able to find TWO Kershaw Cuclones for around 60$

I don't like the cyclones though. That switch to turn assist on/off just doesnt sit well with me. Either get an assist or a manual that system is just needlessly adding more areas of failure. KISS right? lol I think that is why they are being discounted so much (cyclone is selling for like 3/4 off or something rediculous).

Solution: Place the switch in either the 'On' or the 'Off' position and leave it there forever

The latter is what I did with mine. She's a dedicated manual folder and she works like a charm. :thumbup:

Hell, for 60$ you could place one in the "on" and one in the "off" position and just pick which one you wanted to carry that particular day

As others have said, Spyderco Delica, Spyderco Tenacious/Persistence, Benchmade Griptillian, Kershaw Leek/Scallion are what came to mind first.

It seems there are lots of great knives above $60, but what are some of the great folders that cost less than that?

I don't have either one yet, but I'm really liking the looks of the Buck Vantage Pro and the Buck 112 Eco-Lite (or if you prefer a bigger knife, the 110 Eco-Lite). Both offer serious bang for the buck and are made in the U.S.

There are a lot of really good folders for 60 and under. Rat1, Sog Flash1 and 2, Spyderco Tenaceous, CRKT, KA Bar, Byrd, Boker, Kershaw, Benchmade Grip., etc.etc.. All and more make good folders in that range. Shop around. Check out some Nutn Fancy reviews on folders at YouTube. He gives hi kudos to the Rat 1 and the Sog Flash. There are tons.
