Best folder for $500-$600

+1 for Hoback! Not everybody's taste but when I can fork out $500+ for a custom I'm getting a Hoback!
Laconicos are very nice and clean. But so is a Hoback kwaiken...

If your're looking for a flipper I think David Moiser makes the best.
I've handled alot at Blade, and David's really stand out.
He has so many wanting them that its hard to get a knife from him, but you can find them.
You won't meet a nicer guy, and he really stands behind his product.

To me, that is, In My Opinion, toooo many knifes are so similar. All these flippers and curves and tapers, thumb ramps and choils really blur each other out. There are only a handful of makers that just don't play this game. #1 - CRK comes to mind. The Sebenza 25 is incredible. Sure it's a ballsy move on Chris' part but he's not doing what everyone else is. He makes his own rules. CRK does not follow. They lead. The Sebenza, any Sebenza, especially the 25, is once again - unique. Therefore in order for folks to really understand the knife it is appropriate to realize that the Sebenza is not intended to be compared. It is intended to stand alone and be the overall finest folding knife money can buy... and I believe it is!

Having never really handled the mid techs or customs in this price range, I can only go of what I've seen. I recent discovered Shirogorov from bf, and a 95 model in s90v would be awesome, looks nice and slicey.

Yuna's designs are absolutely incredible, I normally don't like too far out designs, but his retain a level of pure style that really just makes fantastic looking knives. I kind of always assumed they cost more than 5-600, but I wouldn't actually know.

I Agree............I asked Chris about the possibility of flippers and slip joints and other different designs and he simply said NO. ( in a very nice way I might add ). He said they have all been done before. That he is about moving forward into the future and doing things that have not been done, not going back and rehashing the past.
