Best folding knife for daily carry?

I would start with my Buck 110. But if it has to be a knife with a clip in the pocket then it's my Emerson CQC-7A. Just a tough, solid well built knife!

Benchmade 551 Griptilian. Light, fast-opening closing with one hand, rock-solid lock up with the axis lock and SUPER SHARP!! Best $79.99 I ever spent on a knife!!

Since this thread is over a year old, the last post before today was in May, and the OP only had two posts on BF in total (both from over a year ago when thsi thread started), I doubt he's looking for suggestions anymore guys :p

With a $500 budget and a first choice of an expensive "operator's" knife, I have to ask, what job are you performing in daily life?

Unless you're on SWAT callout, the knife type specified largely indicates a desire to carry something to bolster a self image deficiency. Don't go there.

If you are LEO/military, pick up an Endura from the local knife shop or PX. It'll do.

High end uber tackycool knives from suppliers who don't specialize in them mean you get something made by somebody else. I suspect Wilson doesn't have a clue about making knives. They are a 1911 range gun maker - which also doesn't mean they specialize in combat pistols. Really, Browning, Glock, Beretta, SIG, HK, and Walther do that. Nobody issues a 1911. It's obsolete.

An EDC knife has a lot of competing jobs to do, and some onerous local requirements. I'd slow down and look for something in the $50 range to start. No sense making an expensive mistake because the job turned out completely different from the tool.

You don't know much about Wilson fixed blades, Wilson combat or guns.

...... but I like this one!

I carried a Benchmade 710 for five years and it never failed me. You can get basic and fancy versions, both for around your price range.

I only switched to other models out of curiosity.

Reading is fundamental! :D

When I am at work I carry the Ken Onion Ripple 2, have to wear a suite and need something smaller. When I am out and about I carry the Kershaw Shallot. I love Kershaw, you know right when you pick up their knives that they are built solid and the look great!
