Best Folding Knife for Food and Kitchen?

I find myself using my Tenacious a lot in the kitchen. The blade
profile works well for peeling and cutting small fruits and veggies.
I do some BBQ work out at the park sometimes too and was
wondering what other knives would be good for food.

I've found that I like the full flat grind profile the best of all my
knives. The Tenacious is a little on the wide side though.

The Spyderco Rocklobster looks like a great food knife, but a little
too expensive, was thinking maybe the Military.

I would also use it as an EDC and for other purposes as well.

Any suggestions/ideas? Thanks.

The Spyderco Military does a very good job in the kitchen and can adapt to other situations comfortably. :) I have one with me everyday.

On holidays I bring an Opinel 12 which is my portable chef knife. Combine this with an Opinel 7 or 8 for cutting the smaller stuff and you have a very capable set for a low price.

One of the Spyderco Catcherman folders was one I found greatly useful in the kitchen. A.G. Russell's Woods Walker is another one my wife and I love in the kitchen and I've found that some of the EKA 12C27 thin blade folders are quite useful in the kitchen also.

I use a modified Junk Yard Dog 2 as my traveling kitchen knife. I reground the blade to almost a zero-edge and added amboyna handles. It isn't a dedicated kitchen knife, but it's leaps and bounds above anything in other people's kitchens.

Cold Steel Pocket Bushman.

Opinel No.8 Stainless with Bubinga handle, inexpensive, light excellent slicer and easy to sharpen. Very safe too with a good simple lock, the dark hardwood handle looks handsome but the usual ones work just as well.

My Benchmade Grip. always made easy work of veggies and small game when hunting or fishing. I cook alot and at home I really love my spanish made: J.A. Henckles knife set, probably the best wedding gift i got!!:D

I like the AG Russell Hocho setup or the Military. The ability to rock the Military blade and it's length helps a lot with some kitchen chores

Another + for Opinel. I keep a #8 handy. Flat grind and easy to keep sharp. Wood handle may be a drawback for you but I haven't found it to be a problem. I never soak and knife in water or put it away wet. Price can't be beat.

My openion has changed since the last time this was asked.
