I've been real pleased with my Ka-Bar Dozier designed Thorn folder in D2. I don't think it is the most heavy duty user you can find in a folder but for an EDC pocket scalpel that keeps its edge you can't hardly argue with it. The blade is sold as a spear point and it performs quite well like a pen blade due to how thin it is. It is surprisingly useful for a variety of tasks.
Another vote for the BM 806D2. But not primarily because it used a D2 blade. But because of the folder itself. Great fit for my hands. And a dependable, strong locking mechanism. I have many variants from ATS34 to M2 HiSpeed to D2. The D2 made all that much better.
I usually like to have a combo edge on my EDC so I bought a 806SD2. It's the nicest knife I own. All the 806 AFCKs in D2 are just about impossible to find now.
I have three BMs in D2 all are great. The 710 D2 is in my pocket every weekend (office has a blade length rule). my 705-04 is my weekday EDC and I have a 960 SLV for other occations. One can never have too much D2! Steven
I was able to find a 806SD2 here in Oklahoma.I searched the internet and every benchmade dealer within a 50 mile radius to no avail and found this dealer with two left. My question is, why would Benchmade discontinue such a good, sought after knife.
