Best fondling production knife?

I know it sounds ridiculous, but while driving to work I love to flick knives open/close repeatedly. I'm addicted to the sound of a nice solid "POP". So far been playing with a Para2, Cryo (stupid assist!), and 0560 which are fun in their own ways. What are some good production knives you enjoy fondling? I don't really care if it's $20 or $200

If you like the POP then try the Spydie Military. It's by far the loudest knife I've owned.

The crkt summa/premonition are by far the most fun to flip....and the ZT0200, there's a solid *click* haha!

I agree, can't go wrong w/ an axis anything.
I've owned a CRKT Eros for about 6 months and LOVE to flick it. At first it ripped up my finger but after a day or two I built up a callus. After it "broke in" it's crazy smooth and I really enjoy flicking it

I like the Benchmade axis assist knives for playing. Totally one handed opening and closing and ambidexterous design. I will add that unless stopped in traffic trying to multitask while driving is dangerous to yourself and others. Doing ANYTHING but driving increases the chance of an accident enormously.

I love the smoothness and precision of the large Sebenza. I don't generally handle my knives while driving, but I've been known to open and close it a few times just cuz.

Previously, the smoothest folder I'd ever opened was a Benchmade Onslaught. The big blade inertia, combined with the slick axis system, made it incredibly smooth.

Then I got my Al Mar SERE 2000 last week. It had a squeek sound when I first started messing with it, but a drop of Remoil where the detent rubs and it is by far the smoothest folder I've ever had. The liner lock is also perfect, just like my Spyderco Military. The SERE 2000 is now my favorite folder, I'm guessing it will stay that way for a long time. It seems like these used to be popular, but aren't anymore, I'm not sure why.

I hear ya - It's a really bad habit of mine that I'll have to break slowly... LA traffic is boring.

CRKT foresight. Smooth as glass. Probably the smoothest bearing knife Ive ever handled let alone own. Unbelievably fast and make a solid "thuck!" when locking up. The detent on my is absolutely perfect. Is almost impossible to miss fire the blade but it still is very easy to open.

All the CRKT IKBS knives are fun to fondle. I still can't believe how loud it is when my little Ripple shoots open.

well I really woudnt few flicking a knife open and closed one handed is anything like texting. Texting requires you take your eyes off the road and focus on something entirely different. Flicking a knife open and closed I equate to fidgeting and IMHO is no more dangerous than the person who is smoking a cigarette while driving. In most cases its second nature. And you can still focus on driving without disengaging your attention to focus on a completely different task.

My Ti Millie has a nice clunk sound when flicked open which I like. My ZT0350 on the other hand, has the most intimidating sound with its assist in any fold that I've owned. It's quite addicting.

My hogue ex-01 in aluminum with drop point blade make the most satisfying "whack" sounds as you flick it open and the smooth button lock is addictive i didnt put it down for atleast 2 weeks after getting it lol

Very true - it is different than texting. I'm generally not looking at my knife while driving. Only time I may be distracted is a bad deployment (my interior is suffering from scratches!) I almost build a bond with a knife doing repeated 1-hand open/closes, its like they all have their own personalities.

Thanks for all the cool suggestions so far.. looking like Military may be a purchase soon.

Really interested in the ripple, the cheapo one seems like a steal at $30. I know the bearing system is supposed to be the tits, but given the smaller size of blade wasn't sure how hard it thunked.

The swindle is a pretty good deal too, I really like the aesthetics of it and it's bigger than the ripple. Not as ergonomic for cutting though.

I like to fondle and click my S&W Swat.. I really like it for a cheaper knife. Although I have been eyeing a Kershaw at Walmart that has the Assist on it.. Just my .02

Well if you're talking about a knife just for playing with an auto is damn hard to beat. The speed and thwack of a Protech or the SCHOOK! of a Microtech puts a big-dumb-guy grin on my face every time.
