Best Gentlemans folder

I would have to go with the Kershaw Nakamura as it really is a very nice looking knife and has a silky smooth action. I am not fond of th wood scales though as it looks a lot better in dinosaur gem bone... :p I intend to buy a few more of them.

I consider my Benchmade 940 Osbourne a gentlemen's knife. Or you could try the Fallkniven Tre Konor.

The Titanium Leek with ZDP-189 blade, or the Leek with the damascus blade, or the Leek with the composite blade. Or the OCC Leek. Or the Leek with...

Okay, just check out the Kershaw Leek line-up. There's something for everyone. You can get two, and still have money left over.:D

A. G. Russell carries several good gent's folders. I carry a Damascus bladed lockback that always gets comments.

It used to be you could get a William Henry for under $150. Those days are sadly long gone.:( The carbon fiber Lancet was my favorite. Who knows, maybe someone would be willing to part with one, if you ask around. I traded mine up on a Buck TNT a few years back.

Spyderco
75 mm Persian would be my first choice with Kopa Cocobolo or Jigged Bone being close second, especially in knife unfriendly environment.

Also Moki makes many great gents knives, with jigged bone Ares being my first choice from Moki, it comes in three sizes: 2.5", 2 3/4", and 3 1/4" blade length.+
(IIRC, all Spydercos above are made by Moki as well)

I have quite a few gentlemen style knives, here are a few observations on mine:

- My favourite kind is probably a real french Laguiole. Pick a good brand like Laguiole-en-Aubrac or Fontenille-Pataud and your style of handle and you'll be happy. If you prefer other brands, make sure they use the 12C27 steel. Meanwhile a laguiole is my most often carried knife. Elegant and practical, and good handmade quality.

- Fontenille-Pataud launched a few months ago another superbly elegant pocket knife "Le Thiers":

I have one and it's splendid. Perhaps my most elegant knife companion.

Several Mcustas are interesting as gentlemen knives: compact, high quality and silky smooth. I think however that their "gentlemen series" is less suited as these feature a clip. Perhaps it's just me, but I think that a clip doesn't look good on a gentlemen knife (ok, the special one on the CRK Mnandi is an exception). I'd rather go for a model from the "MC-7 Classic Damascus series":

Then, in another thread I have praised the ancient and original design of the classic French Nontron knives. Very light and rare, and they use good Sandvik steel. Ideal if you want something really special yet elegant. This are pics of my "number 25", a handmade gem:

Another interesting gentlemen choice that I mentioned here previously is a Kyocera ceramic pocket knife. Mine is fantastic, really:

Of course, the better known Spyderco Kiwi, Kopa and the UK pocket knife are all very interesting candidates, of these 3 I have the Kiwi and I'll never part with it, it's that good and it is perfectly acceptable in a office kind of environment:

Finally, one recommendation of a knife brand that I don't (yet) have: a Moki. Very well made japanese knives, I believe they make some spyderco items for example, and as you can see perfect gentlemen style knives:
