Just looked it up, 67HRC!? WOW! That's gotta be the hardest I've seen anyone run ZDP, I assume its a solid ZDP blade? Have you had any chipping? I know spyderco turned theirs down from 65 cause it was chipping on to many people but a WH has a different target consumer than a spyderco and is probably used much differently by those people. Do you know of many people have complained to WH about chipping. (Not that I'm shopping for one, just surprised to see a blade ran to 67). Also has anyone ever tested a 67HRC ZDP blade against a ~62?
I have several dressy gentlemen's knives.
CRKT Ripple in blue titanium
CRKT Ripple 2 in bronze titanium
Spyderco Centofante Memory (light blue titanium)
Spyderco Endura Damascus with jigged bone scales
Gold class Benchmade 531
Kershaw Wild Turkey (VG-10 Damascus)
Kershaw Double Cross (VG-10 Damascus)
I also have a wide selection of tactical sharpened prybar folders (was carrying the ZT 0550 yesterday, today it's the pimped Boker Kwaiken with the LSCF and bronzed hardware).
I decry those barbarians who claim that any knife at all can be a "gentleman's knife" if it is held by someone who is wearing something dressier than jeans and a t-shirt. Do we say any knife at all can be a hard use tactical folder so long as it is held by someone wearing a camouflage uniform hacking away at a stump? No, of course not! Words have meanings.
