I plan on getting my groomsmen (6) and my father a knife. I would like to have the handle engraved, not the blade. So the handle needs to be metal, no plastic or rubber. Since I'm buying 8 knives (I can't pass up a knife for myself) it cannot be real expensive. I'm in the $30-40 price range because I also have to pay for engraving. Models I have debated are CKRT Drifter, Buck 327 Nobleman, Buck Spitfire, Kershaw Cryo, and SOG Fielder (found a place that offers to engrave the wooden grips). I wish I could afford to get everbody a Kershaw Leek, but I can't afford to. Any input on the models I've listed or other models I should look into? Thanks in advance

If I was doing it I would get them all a Leek. Plain edge satin handle/blade Leeks can be had for $38.99 from the large online retailer that starts with an "A" and shares its name with a rain forest in South America.

For me, it would have to be a traditional, like a case peanut, but you'd have to do initials on the bolster...

Victorinox Alox Cadet. They have a flat spot on one side specifically for engraving.

The Leek is an amazing little knife for the money but the CRKT Swindle really surprised me. It is a nice size and has super smooth action for a non-assisted.

You might also check out the Avispa. There isn't really a large metal space on the handle, though it is a frame lock, so one side is metal. But you could always have the engraving on the Blade.

Victorinox Alox Classic SD, Cadet, Pioneer, or Farmer. There's even a small flat section on the back scale that's perfect for engraving.

With a little effort (really not much at all), I'll bet you can find an online retailer that sells Leeks for under $40.

Buck locking folders can be engraved with initials and dates and the like on the lower bolsters very nicely and the brass polishes up well. I still have my brother's 110 engraved with his initials in the early 1980s. Bigger folks can carry the 112 as pocketknives (I sometimes do and I'm a skinny guy) and they do the job of many larger blades. And I second the SAK suggestion. The SAK is more likely to be carried and daily used than most groomsman gifts, which beats a flask or a mug or something that will be put away and forgotten. And even non-knife guys appreciate SAKs.

I've saw some amazing Buck 110s at a wedding , with initials of the groomsmen engraved on each side of the brass.
