I would like to know what everybody prefers for "do-it-yourself" handle wrapping on a throwing knife; be it leather, electrician's tape, parachute cord, shoelaces, fishline, or other? Thanks!

None whatsoever. I do handle-throwers, and any handle materiel would hinder a smooth release.

It's all personal preferance. I use duct tape, some of the large cheap bowies still have their scales attached. Some have the scales removed and have had the edges rounded off and smoothed. Some like the Cold Steel throwers don't have scales. Half the challenge is being able to throw a multiple of differant styled knives with the same amount of proficiency. I have yet to be satisfied with the number of sharp things that I own, whether it's for butchering, throwing or chores. How many of us have knives that are just taken out and admired, that never even get taken outdoors? Yeah, I know, we don't like to talk too much about our obsessive compulsive behavior! Mike
