If I am thinking of the right model these are awesome as well because they store like 4-5 extra blades inside the handle. When I was working in a big box store that always came in handy since you would go through miles of dirty cardboard a night.I’m an hvac technician of 31 years and always have some sweet knives in my pocket. But to be honest they are just for my personal pleasure as when I’m working I use my cheap old Stanley retractable razor knife. My tool bag is always with me so I grab it when I need a blade. It serves me well and I don’t have to worry about it!View attachment 3121543
I'd say a Mora Robust and don't be too precious about how you repair damage on it. Use a belt grinder whenever needed to erase the damage and call it good 'nuff. When all used up, buy a new one. Biggest thing is to maintain low angles when regrinding, but as long as that's done you can beat it the hell up and get a lot of use out of it before it'll be ultimately consumed.I wonder ifFortyTwoBlades has some thoughts on the subject.
This may be the best one to start with.Mora Robust Pro. It is the closest I have seen some come to indestructible.
Thanks! I have beaten the pants off three of them and the only reason I don't have the first two is that admirers loved them and ran off with them. This may be the best one to start with.
