Best jigging on modern, custom traditionals?

Again not a custom but really good looking to my eyes. And available.

Splitback Whittler #43 pattern (prototype)

Details:

Case #43 splitback pattern

Clip point master, coping blade and drop point pen blade secondaries. Aeb-l blade and spring Hrc 61 with Cryo cycle

Blades are all cam tangs that ride on bushings

Hand rubbed finishes and polished swedges.

Hand dyed and jigged bone scales with pinned shield 🛡️

410 SS liners mill relieved and jeweled on the inside

416 bolsters with hand satin finish

Flush in all positions and smooth with nice walk and talk. All blades clear and master is perfectly centered

Wonderful. The bone looks rich and old. Well done.
 
This got me thinking, what is the traditional way to jig bone? With a wood carpenter's gouge? Seems like that would be very tough on such a fine edge meant for wood . . .
