I just counted 14 keys distributed in three split rings which hang from a fourth ring which hangs from a clip. I clip this to my pants with the keys inside the waistband, they are not visible, make no noise and don´t feel uncomfortable, they do wear down my t-shirts though.
I do carry stuff other than keys on keyrings but they are separate from the keys, I have a neck lanyard inside my shirt with whistle, lighter, LED light, compass and usb memory, sometimes I wear these in a ring inside a pocket hanging from a small biner in a belt loop (which is how I carry my SAK in another pocket).
