Best knife for $100 or less shipped

I managed to find the Benchmade 710 w/ D2 for just under $100, so I think that is my choice. I know the blade steel sure is the best steel I would expect for $100, and I really like how it looks.

You may not find a better folder at any price....

Get that one!

Stay sharp,

go for the 710. Best folder for its price imo. Strong, comfortable, looks nice, good steel, best lock (imo), nice blade geometry. Overall a beauty of a knife.

Problem with saying you would avoid liner-locks, but assisted opening is fine, too. What assisted opener is not a liner lock? I can't think of any. Maybe there's a frame lock thats assisted?
Yes, CRKT's Lake and Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS) adds the needed level of security to any linerlock knife, I think. Assisted opens with AutoLAWKS go to 30 degrees, whip open, lock and the safety engages.

I should have been more specific. Good catch!

I agree with Stainz...
The Alaskan Guide Buck 110 from Cabela's is an awesome bargain.
And the knife itself is fantastic....
