Best knife for around $70-$80

Griptillian is a great choice and you can find one for 90$ if you shop around. Also check out a Kershaw knockout.

I have a Manix 2 lightweight. Its a great knife and weighs the same as FRN Delica but with almost 3.5 inches of FFG blade.

A manix 2 should fit the bill for your exact specifications but, if you would be willing to have a liner lock or lock back, your options would be alot more open. I would suggest a Delica, Endura, or Native. They're one of spyderco's flagship models and they've kept spyderco customers happy for over 20 years. If you want to look at Benchmade, any of the blue class (I think that's the name of the group) would work well. If you like assisted, you can get a Kershaw leek with G-10 and S30V for around $70.

The Manix 2 seems to be one of the only ones in your specs you listed lol.
I know you love Spyderco.
If you'll consider Lock Backs... you cannot go wrong with a Spyderco Native.
If you look here on the forums you can even get a Native 5 in your price range.
If you will consider a lock back.. the Native is great. It's about $50 with s30v steel, lock back, nice handles, a good clip, fits the hand like a glove, not very heavy, it's just a good knife.

You can probably get the sneaky Valloton-Diskin DA auto from Volcan in that price range.

Manix 2 would be my vote. Kershaw RAM is another good alternative if you want to stay well under your budget.

Griptilian is a great choice for running. I like Spyderco over Benchmade and have owned many more Spydies than anything else. For running though, the light weight, outstanding grip, and fantastic locking mechanism are a tough combo to beat at that price point. I wear the grip on my waist band in the right small of my back and it is not even noticeable when running.

I did just replace it with a Sage, but that is too high a price point for this thread...

Edit...I would not consider the manix 2 as the weight is quite a bit. Weight is a huge factor in running attire as a knife can feel like an anchor bouncing around and create hotspots or rawness. The lightweight version seems a much better choice. I would recommend staying around or under the 3.5 oz range with the full size grip being about the heaviest way to go.

That's me, anyhow.

I've got some more cash now range is up to 120. LooKed at the sage 3 and really liked it. Any other recommendations for spyderco knives about 3.5 ounces? Anything besides the para2. It's not that I don't like it but I wanna see what other options are

The Spyderco Sage 3, is a great knife. I had one and loved it, a lot. Just got a deal on it I couldn't refuse and it's gone now.
The Spyderco Stretch is a great knife and you could get one with ZDP Blade Steel for under $120.
Spyderco Caly 3.5?

Or if you want something with a compression lock...
You may want to look at the Spyderco Junior.

Or you can often find the Yojimbo 2 for your price range and it's only 4oz.
