Camillus actually made a version of the BK-9 called the Hog Hunter. I don't have a single pic of it, but it's the knife third from the right side. The swedge on that one is sharpened in order to give it a spear-like point.
If you're looking for a blade to put the pig out of it's misery any of the blades mentioned will work. I've been using a CS SRK for years and it's done the job for me. Where I hunt here my hands are always wet or muddy so something with grip is a must. When you add in blood a lot of handles can get slick and lead to sliced fingers or your hand. The SRK has a rubberlike grip with a finger guard that works pretty good. If you're like me get something you can afford to lose as I've lost a few knives in the forest or on the mountain.
I have hunted boar like that before and it was a blast. I used a cold steal spear and also used a shorter machete with the tip ground and sharpened into a spear point. It was around 10" of blade and it de animated the pigs just fine.
I love pig stickers! I've noticed a lot of responses deal with things that have a dual use. It makes a certain amount of sense if clearing brush while hunting to be able to take the peeg with what's in your hand.
My son (age 12 at the time) killed a boar with this Siegle(bottom one)
just make sure you use a knife with a Good Handguard to prevent your hand from slipping forward as you thrust.(or one with the guard built into the grip)
Many of the hogdoggers down here use a fillet knife to do the deed.
But, if you need a reason to add a big, badass knife to the collection, boar hunting is as good a reason as any.
