I'm looking for the best EDC knife I can get for 60 dollars or less even if it's on amazon or something. I like kershaw and cold steel knives but am not sure which to get. I'm looking for a blade 3' or under. Also obviously I'm looking for the best steel, grip, and shape of the handle I can get. I need the knife to be durable, I'll be using as an EDC and in the woods when camping. Please help

You can get:
Rat 1
Utilitac 2 (your choice of blade style)
Tenacious
If you can move even like $8 above $60 you can get a df2 or delica
I believe a medium cold steel voyager is around $40 on a bfc supported dealers page.
Mini recon 1
There is a bunch of option in your price range. Do you have any restrictions in blade style? EX: no tantos, no serrations.

RAT 1 or 2, Utilitac, Zancudo or Avispa. Same answer every time the question is asked.

Good steel...
Keep an eye out in the classifieds (for any good knife), but a used mini-grip is one the best all around EDC knives out there. (Just looked, I can't believe new mini's are going for $90 new.. WTH!!)

Spyderco's in FRN Delica, Dragonfly and Native

Decent steel..
Lots of offerings from Kershaw, CRKT, Cold Steel, Buck, ESEE.

I see pricing by steel..
AUS8, Cr#Mo#, etc - you can get a great knife for about $30 (no need to go to $60) or get 2 designs at $30 each = $60
VG10, 154CM, S30V, etc - you can get a good knife for about $60-$70 (harder to find the S30V's in that range, but there are a few (FRN Native, Buck Vantage)
Carbon Steel - I wish more modern knife designs came in carbon.. love it! Mostly just in traditionals now. Good patina and it won't rust, takes a great edge and easy to touch up.

If it's going to be a real user EDC for many years, spend the extra $20 now and get exactly what you want. Just my .02

I always recommend the ESEE Zancudo to people looking for a good quality inexpensive knife. Its got a really good design, good materials, and good fit and finish.

CS ak-47 opinions?

It is not practical and too large with a weird handle. The Mini Recon 1 is more practical and is at a special price right now. If a larger CS knife is wanted then the choice widens to the Code 4 (aluminium handle), Recon 1, American Lawman.

Look at "kershawguy.com". It's all Kershaw and ZT, but you can compare and even choose a blemished knife for way cheap.

That's actually a pretty open-ended request - the "best" steel, handle shape, etc. all tend to be pretty subjective, no matter the price. Personally, I second the Skyline. I'm a staunch believer that it's the best value, dollar for dollar, on the market right now, performing far above its price point (Which, by the way, seems to have dropped recently - it's currently under $33 on Amazon, which is insane for a USA-made knife of that quality). The flipper on mine is great, the handle is simple and taut, but surprisingly comfortable, and I love 14C28N steel. It's pretty easy to sharpen, but actually holds an edge quite well. I actually prefer it to a lot of "better" steels like S30V. There's a surprising number of great options in the sub-$60 range, but the Skyline (in my opinion) blows them all out of the water.

That said, is a touch over three inches, so if that's a hard limit for legal reasons, etc., or if the Skyline just isn't to your liking, some other options:

Ontario RAT II
ESEE Zancudo
Kershaw Injection 3.0
Kershaw Emerson of your choice
Kershaw OD-1 (kershawguy has blems for $55 right now - the cam flipper is incredibly addictive)
CRKT Ripple 2 (IKBS flipper)
Cold Steel Tuff Lite (If you don't mind sacrificing some piercing capability, this is actually one of the best utility knives I own)
Spyderco Delica
