Best knife kershaw makes?

The JYD II with a composite blade. A very interesting, and proprietary knife. One of Tim Galyean's finest blade profiles, very useful for it's size.

My personal favorite is the Kershaw Scallion! Always has been.

As for value making it the best, I can not speak highly enough about the Kershaw Needs Work! This knife really steps up to its name, is amazingly affordable and is made in the U.S.A!

My vote is the Scallion or the Leek. Cryo is another good option.

Of the Kershaw's I own, the damascus shallot is the one I would want to recieve. The skyline I use the most. I did lend a cryo to a friend a while ago and he seems to fond of it to give it back, all good knives.

If you think your dad might like a bigger blade, the Piston is a good option. It's very solid, assisted and mine came very sharp. If not, the Leek, in its various iterations, is a good option. Very handy knife.

Kershaw R.A.M. for me. Non assisted, pivot is smooth as my PM2, lock is one of the strongest and it's nice and thin. Just an overall great knife and I was very sad to see it discontinued. You can still find them for sale new in the box if you look around on the big auction site.

How do those sites get knives like that? Collectors just sell it to them? I've seen stuff like that on blade hq too

Dave, aka kershawguy here and kershawguy.com on the webz, is in my opinion the best dealer for all things Kershaw, ZT or Shun. As for how he got it, I wouldn't be surprised if it came from his personal supply.

Mine? The Kershaw Leek I sold to buy a better knife! In all seriousness I don't think I've ever received a Kershaw product that I was enthusiastically satisfied with.

The Blur started my knife folder addiction many years ago. I really like the Knockout a lot. The Skyline has to be one of the most useful, huge value knives that exist. You really can't go wrong. I like the smaller Kershaw offerings like the leek etc, but I'm to hard on my EDC's to carry them regularly. I do recommend them to a lot of folks though who don't use their knives for more than light daily tasks like opening boxes and trimming a thread off your shirt.

Anything with a composite blade like the leek. Nobody does composite like Kershaw. Every time he pulls it out of his pocket it will be a great conversation starter and make a Kershaw fan out of him for life.

damascus shallot, i LOVE mine! I grab for it more than any of my other kershaw, either that or a D2 leek composite blade, awesome durable little knife

Top 3 Kershaws for me are the Blur, Leek, and then the Cryo. The blur and the Leek tie, it just depends on who owns the knife and what they are going to use it for. The Leek is sort of like a modern gentlemens knife and mine came very sharp. The Blur is more of a tactical knife and is much larger, but another great choice.
