Best knife of all time? ( that hasn’t been made yet)

I won't address custom one-offs or even limited editions, as those are subjective to individual taste, but I will address a production run knife that would be a homerun with the masses. If this doesn't interest you, then I've failed to answer your question and missed the mark. Too bad...lol.

Spyderco Native 5 with a Compression Lock. I can't imagine why Sal and Eric haven't done it, yet, other than they're afraid it will cannibalize the Para 3 and Lil' Native. This knife in either fluted carbon fiber or smooth molded G10 (think Shaman handle) would be a #1 hit. The functionality and beauty would crossover into mainstream culture. It would be a game changer. Make it happen, guys!

I think the problem is that a Compression Lock Native 5 would not really be very distinguishable from the Sage 5 Compression Lock, which already holds down the 3" leaf-bladed compression lock spot.

My current dream knife? Taking the design cues and philosophy from a Lionsteel Roundhead but with a small pen blade opposite the main spear on a single spring and in a carbon fibre barehead serpentine configuration.

Not that I'm being specific or anything. :D

I would really like knife companies to offer a popular knife with a variety of sizes and blade styles and opening options.
An Ontario RAT R2D2 that is a flipper with tanto blade

An OTF keyed to my hand/thumb and explodes if an unauthorized user attempts to open it.

A ka-bar USMC but with only a 4.5 to 5 inch blade.

A wider stick tang.

The top guard ground off.

I'm ok with 1095CV.

To me the ultimate knife.

I can not figure out why ka bar does not produce it.

Make the USN mk1 a flat grind instead of a full flat grind.

Why is it so hard for them to do this?

I would buy 10 in the first year.

A Spyderco Native Chief, with the following changes:
- 50/50 finger choil removed, reduce handle and blade length by 0.5”
- more contoured scales, like on the Shaman

More CKF’s models with a 3.5” blade
More models or an increased number of Jonas Iglesias knives
A CRK flipper

A new CRK would be nice. Doesn't need to be a flipper for me to be excited.

I'm thinking a larger version of the Ti-Lock with either a frame lock or a back lock (more symmetry).

It's a nice design, but very small. The one I bought had some issues with the Ti-lock mech as well.

1. A large sebenza in M4

2. A Spyderco nativechief in maxamet+gray g10 or s110v+blurple g10

3. Benchmade custom shop that offers uncoated M4 as an option on all their custom knives

Bring back the Kershaw Spec Bump but with Carbon fiber scales and a stonewashed black blade.

Don't be so vague about what you want . . . ;)
Hey, I didn't even mention a handle thickness... I suppose if push came to shove I'd accept cherry blossoms. I think honeysuckle gets a bad rap though. So what if it's a parasite? That tree smelled terrible. It's an upgrade.

So a Shaman with an Endura or Endela blade?

Not quite. Shaman is taller and has a compression lock. I prefer the height and width of the Chief handle. The Chief handle is very comfortable and long enough without the 50-50 finger chill. When you use the 50-50 finger chill, the handle sticks out way past your fingers.

The Endura blade has a large ricasso (presumably for safety?). In my opinion, this large ricasso is wasted space. Better to have a 50-50 choil or no ricasso. I am thinking of a blade more like the Ikuchi, where the only thing between the handle and the sharpened edge is a small sharpening notch.

Hasn't been made yet?

Lightsaber comes to mind... (or Sun Sword, for you Thundarr the Barbarian fans)

Don't matter when it comes out, @NickShabazz will review it and trouble will ensue....

"Voice is too nasally"... "Moves the handle around too fast"... "Only Sith consider it 'Murdery' " ... You know the rest.

Until then, the Benchmade AFCK is gonna have to do it for me. It's dreamy stuff, either full size or mini.
