Best knife picture sites

Wow, this guy is something!

Thanks, Vassili.

You have no idea how "something" I am comrade.

You got any custom knives, homie? Care to share what you got?

Did you get lost?......"stay away from me"...that is what you asked for....I already put you on ignore, but if you come hunting for me.....I will respond x10.

You piss me off.

Well, apparently, if you want to make jaw-dropping knives, you gotta have a mustache
Not a clean-shaven face IN that guild!

;)

Hmmm, the first two guys (top row) both are clean-shaven. Maybe you just picked from the middle?

There are some amazing looking knives on that site. Fat chance contacting that market though, for one my Russian is rather bad and it's not like they have been teaching English in high school over there (at least I doubt that they did before the curtain fell - I am just guessing though).

Coop - thanks for the eye-candy link to the motherload.

Well I had contact with the Guild a while back and their secretary has a fair command of the English language. the problem however is that they ask way too much money for their knives. To give you an example this knife had a pricetag of $10,000.

Although it has a lot of work attached to it .... for that kind of money (if I could and would spend that much money on one knife) I can buy from almost every world famous maker.

I actually suspect that most of us here don't know very well who the "world famous makers" are. I know who the famous US makers are (most of them), and a couple Europeans, but go a bit farther East than Germany, and I'm at a loss.

"Too much" is probably pretty relative. That knife looks stunning. If someone asked Arpad Bojtos to make one similar to that, it probably would be in the same price range. Bojtos may be better known in these parts than that maker, but that is only because his work has been seen before. If this maker was already known here, maybe people would consider it a fair price. It sure looks like a ton of work.

Thanks for the picture and the info. Truly enjoyable.
