+1 on paper wheels. they work fast and are one of the cheapest systems that work.

Edgepro. Buy the full set of hones and tapes. You will get an awesome edge with a low learning curve. The only issue I have found is that recurve blades require the 1/2 hones.

I have the ceramic "steel" hone as a backpack hone. It is very good for touch-ups.

The only hones I have tried that put on a better edge are about 3X the price, rare as hell, and a pain in the a-- to use on any blade except a straight or a scandi.
