Best knife shows? knifemakers point of view

Lynn,
For me, the Blade Show in Atlanta is the best for sales and just meeting new customers. The Las Vegas Classic show in January each years has always been good to me. The Knifemakers Guild show is always good.

Lynn,

I seccond what Kit said . I love the Vegas show nice crossover croud from the Shot Show (same week) wide isles , no political b/s .
The Blade show in Atlanta is by far the largest show and great for meeting folks and sellin stuff.

I've been hearing good things about the New York show but have never attended .

Lynn:

I know you asked for a knifemakers point of view, but I could not resist to answer this question.

I am not a knifemaker, we are suppliers to knifemakers & manufactures.

We sell India Stag, Buffalo Horn, Mother of Pearl, Damascus etc.

I only do well at shows where knifemakers do well. Makes sense, the money will circulate to the suppliers when the makers inventory is selling.

By far, I agree with all the above for the Blade Show in Atlanta. Best show in the world, without a doubt in my mind.

Hope this helps.

Ric,
That does help. I have sent in a reservation for the Blade Show West 2000. I won't know for a while, if I have a table, though.

Any thoughts on the NY show in March, and the one in November? I am also trying to get tables for them.

Thanks,

Lynn:

I went to the West Coast Blade Show for the first time this year. I did have a table too. I was pretty impressed with it, but let me tell you, it is NO comprision to the Atlanta Blade Show. The door traffic the amount of money being spent etc. something out of this world. If you have never been to the Atlanta Show, you should try to see it.

If you go this year, stop by and introduce yourself, I will be at booth #'s 38, 39 & 61. We will be selling India Stag, Buffalo Horn, Mother of Pearl, Thunderforged(tm) Damascus & more.

Stay Sharp.
