Best knife under $50 (or close)

I'll put another vote in for the Spyderco Delica.
You'll be able to close it one handed, unless you have tiny, tiny hands...
Haven't looked back since I got mine.

I also agree that the CRKT M16-13Z is a nice knife, despite having AUS-4 steel..

I agree, this is a very decent knife for the money.. Spend a few more bucks than 30 and get an M16-13 w/ an alluminum or titanium handle.. Some would say that's like putting nice rims on an average car but the blade steel is AUS-8 on those two models and they lock up real tight and solid.. The secondary locking feature LAWKS is a nice touch... Decent edge but could be sharpened... You can find them way cheaper than CRKTs suggested retail price..

.. and yeah it's hard to go wrong on a Spyderco for under 50.. they simply don't make junk...

Where did you get it at...they are $120+ on blackwaters website and $100 on ebay!

P.S. I went with the Kershaw Storm II cause I was sick of not having a knife and it was 30 bucks at Wally-World, so I'm gonna give Kershaw a shot.

Damn! I got a good deal. :D

I bought it at a gun store in Evansville, IN called Strictly Shooting. They've always got great prices on knives.

Gotta say "Endura". Get the wave, it's the coolest. The G10 Byrd Cara Cara is a pretty good deal, too.

Well, I asked what I should get for around $100 and just about everyone vouched for the BM 710. Theres not as much consensus on this one. :)

Well, the 710 in its price range...

I remember that thread, and I also remember recommending the 710.

I think it's great that there are so many different recommendations for under 50 bucks! (I'll stick with my recommendation of the Endura 4, BTW.)

I just bought a CRKT M-21 and I really like this knife. I haven't had a chance to eEDC it a lot but it is very solid feeling and a lot of bank for the buck. I paid $46 for it.

I had this knife and loved it. My only complaint was it took up so much space in my pocket I made it my weekend knife. For the money a solid choice I think.

Got to vote on a Delica! It would take no time at all to close a lock back with one hand. Believe me just sit around one day and practise flicking it open then close it. You should become proficient with them anyway.

A native would be awesome and if you really didn't want to do the lock back thing I would suggest a Buck-Mayo collaboration they have many impressive styles and most of them are under $50. some are $28.
