Best Knife Warranty?

I am not a big fan of their knives but was very impressed with CRKT warranty.
I had an old M16 that the liner lock failed so I sent them an email with a video showing the issue.
They said no problem send it to them for replacement. CRKT sent me a brand new knife.

From my experience I have had the best customer service/warranty with the following: Buck, CRKT, and believe it or not the Taylor branded Schrade.

Buck. What people say about the company is true. Doesn't matter how old or how beaten a knife is, they'll take care of it. #1 in customer service.

CRKT. I had to send two knives in for repair and replacement. No questions asked and they had the quickest turnaround time... 3 days.

Schrade. I've bought a few of their newer models because well I liked the designs and they were cheap. Had to send one in because of scales not being flush. I only sent the knife in with a letter and within a week they replaced not only the knife but sent me my old one repaired and sent a brand new sheath with it, which I never even included.

Another thought while I was driving to work this morning, anytime you hear "in the end they will take care of you" more than once that company does NOT have good warranty service. You can have the best actual warranty "work" on the planet but if it takes months and years to get it done your Warranty is still sub par. Or if the owner of the knife company has to be shamed into doing a customer right after the customer posts his misadventure with your warranty service then that warranty is sub par also.. (Have seen multiple examples of this, not pointing any one company out.)

^^ESEE has probably the best of all. So, you broke your 5 during a meth and alcohol infused rage that resulted in attacking a tank? Ok, well here's a brand new knife for you.

they will send you one without scales (no warranty on scales, only blade)

Condor has the best warranty in my experience. I bought a new Condor Rodan and later discovered that the blade and handle were misaligned. Condor replaced the knife and paid the shipping costs both ways.

Gerber replaced a multi-tool for me when the plier jaws became misaligned from a twisting motion I used to pull a nail.

Strider offers full repair for the LIFE of the KNIFE, regardless of ownership or where purchased. I have shamelessly used their repair for a couple of abused (really abused) folders, and they can back as new...no charge. New Pivots, new blades...and so on.

Why didn't you have to pay the $25 fee for warranty work? And Strider has added a lot of extra rules to their warranty over the years, it's not the same 'bombproof' one they started with..

I'm currently waiting for a SMF to get done at the spa with 0 comms too. Which is an issue, if it gets lost/stolen in the mail you will never know about it because they will not let you know the status of any repairs/shipments..

"in the end they will take care of you"

I love the designs but the execution and support still need work..

Warranty specifics aside, I'm pretty sure I've only had to reach out to 3 CS departments...

Benchmade: limited communication, ignored specific requests, but the work was decent and quick.
Spyderco: slow, but there's a personal touch there that I like, and they're always accommodating.
ESEE: quick communication, quick shipping, etc.

With out shadow of a doubt esee number one! One guy shot his blade to bits got a new one..

You can break one for fun and get a new one..

I have emailed Benchmade about a lost clip which they promptly replaced with all screws no questions asked. I also emailed Kershaw and ZT on separate occasions for new pivot hardware and a clip and both times I got amazing service, no questions asked. In all three cases I never needed to prove where or when I bought the knives and because of that my opinion of the companies increased.
