Best knife you ever found

It's a toss up really, I have found a Buck 315 Yachtsman, an finger groove Buck 110 and a SOG Northwest Ranger

its ironic there are way more people losing higher value knives than finding them. I wonder where they all go:D

so far i dont think i've been lucky enough to pick one up

I found several rusted Barlows and a cheap butterfly knife in new condition with a metal detector. I have since lost the butterfly knife.

Only knife I remember finding was a cheap bait knife that I made a cardboard sheath for. I showed it to some kids at a school fair in about second grade and sent a bunch of parents into a panic when one of their precious told them a kid had a knife.

I take that back because I also found a pretty nice SAK with decent amount of tools with the tip broke off the big blade. That knife showed me that I don't have any desire to carry a SAK as it just sits in a drawer. I think it opened one bottle of wine in the dozen or so years I've had it.

I did find a nice aluminum Streamlight flashlight while cruising the hunting woods on my ATV. My dad seemed to really like it/ jealous he didn't see it so I gave it to him. I see him carrying it all the time.

I lost a S90V Para 2 in the gulf of Mexico so I doubt that one will ever be found. It was only in 3 feet of water where we scallop and I looked for 30 min before I decided it was an impossible find.

When I was in high school I worked at a golf course , one day out in the overflow parking area which was just paved with dirt and mulch I found a fixed blade knife still in the sheath buried in the dirt/clay, the sheath says "Rapala Maritiini Finland" and " Stainless Steel Maritiini Finland" on the blade. The sheath was in bad shape but the knife was protected and in good shape for the most part. I still have it.

Found a leathermen wave on a boat dock while walking around the reservoir that was awesome the other day at the boys
Christmas program when the lights came on found a SAK the teens in front of me that moved must of dropped almost kept it
cause it would of got them suspended but gave it to them quickly after wife gave me that look.

The only knife I have ever found was this Monarch - Japanese made slip joint.

It was in a desk that I moved into at work during a big shuffle in the cubicle farm.

Nobody ever laid claim to it, and I still have it in my drawer at work .

It sharpened up good and holds the edge, although I rarely use it anymore.

A Benchmade Nimravus....

Our Platoon Sgt had us doing front/Back/Go's in the Field at Ft. Hood, in the process of having my face in the grass, I saw the faint outline of a sheath. Afterwards, I went back and located it. The sheath was broken where the belt loop would have been, it was sun bleached (the sheath and scales on one side) with grass growing through and over it. It had been out there for quite some time.

A lost knife is most likely to be found by someone who isn't a knife person so we're less likely to hear about it on here

I found an old Case XX USA 3blade stockman pocket knife on a jobsite. It was worn smooth from years of carry.Asked everybody I saw if they had lost a knife nobody claimed it.That knife will take an edge that will pop the hairs off your arm.

I found an old Case swing guard pocket knife inside a car door i was working on, later sent into case for repair they made look like new.
also found a Camillus stockman on a family roadtrip to CA. when Iwas a kid, that one was lost again by my brother. the Case I still have

Many years ago when I was a freshman in high school I had after school detention. During detention they would make us go outside and pick up trash around campus. They sent us to the parking lot when I heard some black guy behind me say he just found a knife. Of course me always being so interested in knives I asked if I could see it and he let me hold it. It was a cheapo little key chain knife, when I was about to give it back to him he just told me "You can keep that if you want." We didn't know each other so that was awfully cool of him.

I have never found a knife myself. But I can say that is the only "found" knife that has ended up in my possession. I guess that counts as a found knife right?

I guess the best knife I ever found was my own. It had disappeared out of my dresser and I was visiting my brother in law one day and found it laying in the grass in his backyard. I didn't say anything about it, just picked it up and put it in my pocket. I'm sure some young age boy with sticky fingers took it and then dropped it in his yard. It was a Gerber Silver Knight 250C with 3 blades, a relatively rare version of the Silver Knight line.

I also found my B-I-L's Browning folding hunter that he lost in the field behind his house. I returned it to him in good condition considering that it had been lost for over a year.

I've found a couple more in my life, but not as many as I've lost myself...

My brother lost a bunch of my knives but in return I've found a Case sodbuster and a SOG twitch II both in like new shape.

Found a Gerber multitool on the bench in front of the Walmart a couple months ago; gave it to the retired guy on the door for whoever came looking for it. Made my boy do the same thing last summer with a Chinese SAK knockoff he found in front of the ranger station out at Kalaloch. It's bad karma to take anything not freely given.

I found a Case Yellow Nut in my foot one time while fishing. In the summer months i usually just wear my Teva's while wadding, and i was walking to a new spot when i had a sharp pain in my foot.

I quickly just sat down in the water because of the pain and found a knife sticking out of the bottom of my foot and sandals. I still have the knife and use it. I'm guessing someone just lost it because there was barley no rust on the blade.

I found a Leatherman back when there was only one and later i found a Buck Lite I forget which one, I still have the Buck but I gave the leatherman to my brother when he got his first job:thumbup:

I have never found a knife....But i have a buddy who without fail finds knives all the time

He has found
an older slipjoint (possibly a camillus by the style, but it was rusted over)
a smaller SAK in camouflage with most worn off, wel used
2 or 3 cheapo knives
and the best he has found was a kershaw black out i believe it was, good knife, takes an edge. He isnt a knife guy, but aprreciated decent knives. he sent it home with me to fix up. the blade was so bad i had to use a file to get all the chips out in a reasonable amount of time. but its a good knife now
