I know this is a sore subject for some of us,but Im sure that the majority of us have lost a good knife or two or three. The worst for me was my Gerber BMF.It took me three months of therapy to say that out loud, but Im still not over it and its been ten years...:(:barf::mad::grumpy:

I have only lost 2 knives and I loved them both- they were both high quality for the niche they filled. One was a SOG Powerlock multi-tool- dropped it in a river while fishing. I also had a Gerber AR 3.00 Partially Serrated black-teflon model that got snagged by some brush from my pocket and lost in a swamp.

When I was younger my grandfather gave me a small bowie. At the time I didn't know much about knives but I did like to practice throwing them. At one point I was good enough to make this thing stick at 50 ft. Unfortunately one day I was practicing throwing at a tree and it ricocheted off of the tree and into tall grass. I searched forever and never found it. I was quite sad. It would now have been an antique. :-(

I lost one of the old Cold Steel Ultralocks while attending classes at the University of Oklahoma, And I lost a Buck 110 to the bottom of the South China Sea. Those are the only knives I've lost.

Lost a Cold Steel Voyager in a car gerage I worked at in college. My father gave it to me for Christmas one year and I am pretty sure it fell out of my pocket and was stolen by one of the crooks, I mean mechanics, that work there. Made me angry for months.

Before that I had a Cold Steel Twistmaster stolen from my bag at BoyScout summer camp.

I have also had a Calypso Jr. fall off of my right pocket sometime during the last year. I thought I only picked up one knife when I went to work... never seen that Caly again.

I'm not a big fan of Cold Steel folders, but my father gave me a mini-tanto fixed blade when I graduated from paralegal school many years ago. It was a really nice little knife, almost like a razel in its usefulness, and had a lot of sentimental value. Somehow, over several moves, its just vanished. I have a lot of knives, all of them have stayed safe and accounted for... but that one just went away somewhere...

Its the only knife I've ever lost.

I've missplaced knives, but the only one that never turned up was my Case yellow sodbuster Jr. in CV steel. It's only about a $20 knife but it was one of my favorite EDC's. I still haven't replaced it because I'm hoping it will turn up, even though it's been lost for about a year.

I lost a Blackjack folder years ago, fell out of my pocket while on a road trip. What really ticks me off is that I can't replace it, couldn't lose a SAK or Buck, oh no, had to be that one.

The Knife I lost that I miss the most is the case stockman my wife bought me for christmas back when we were dating. It was winter time and I was wearing coveralls, I was trying to put it in my pocket and instead of the pocket it slid down between my pant leg and the coverall leg and fell into a water tank below never to be seen again.:mad::grumpy::(:(

The knife I miss next is a Gerber Gator that my dad sent me for my birthday several years ago. I have no idea what happened to it but it was still new in the box.

I lost my Spyderco Endura after 12 years of daily use. I have no idea where it went. On a brighter note, yesterday I found my first SAK which I lost about 12 years ago. Somehow it had got stuck in a tool box which got shuffled to the back of my storage unit. Its still in great shape and back in my pocket. I think it is The Officer model.

Lost a Benchmade auto (carried for over 2 years in Baghdad) down an extra large portajohn at the END of a boat show. I still shudder because I actually considered digging for it for a minute. <:{

Thought I lost a Tanto Sebbie once. Then my brain kicked in and I remembered sending it in to CRK for a sharpening. Sucks to have a bad memory.:o But at least I got my knife back.:)

I lost my Spyderco Mini Dyad in my last house move.
It was my favorite spydie and my EDC.
I've seen them up for sale/trade here and on Ebay but the prices are
 !!!!!!!!!
The New micro limited edition ones are nice enough but too "micro" for me. They are just a hair longer than a Vic Classic!

The only knife I ever lost was an Endura 3. Thats nothing compared to some of the sob stories I've seen at BF.

Puma Game Warden with saw blade. Went on hike on a 22 mile trail with Boy Scouts for a hiking patch. Went into the woods to take a dump and it must have fell off my belt. Went back an retraced my steps and never found it. Probably still there, buried in the leaves for over 20 years.

I lost a Spyderco Delica which was my EDC for several years. I lucked out and found it about three months later. I had left it on a target frame at the range where I'd been pulling staples with it. Even though it was left out in the weather for 3 months and I found it half buried in the sand, it cleaned up really well.

I had a pre-war Kissing Cranes slip out of my pocket at a dance club once.

Disco realy does suck!
