Best Knives for Gifts?

Kershaws do make good gifts, yes, but do they make good knives? jkwithawave, do you own any? I currently have 4 Kershaws. I am new to knives, but I am about to get my first nice blade, a BM mini grip. How do you feel about Spydercos?

A Buck 110 for about $30 is hard to beat. If you have Amz. prime, shipped free helps.

I have ended up giving away parts of my collection to my brothers and sister, in the past. Included are a Boker Top Lock, a Kershaw Titanium Talon, Buck Titanium mini folder, Spyderco Harpy, CRKT KISS. If I was going to go out and purchase for the purpose of giving away, I'd look into The Rat I or II folders, Ka-Bar Dozier folders, Spyderco Tenacious, or some of the Byrds or Kershaws in that price range, as most folks would be tickled with the quality, compared to "gas station" knives.

If you have a bit more cash, the Griptilian is a great higher-end knife at a lower end price with lots of options on color and blade shape/size.

You also need to check out A. G. Russell knives for the traditional crowd (lower to mid-range) or GEC (upper end), if you want to go that way.

Kershaws are great knives. At least the ones I've used have been. Atm I've only got a pair of skylines and a double cross and a pair of ZT's and none of them are going anywhere. Good call on the Mini grip, the last few knives I've gotten have been Benchmades.

I dig spydercos, i just haven't found a folder of theirs that will stick around. I'm pretty sure the Domino will be though. Can't wait to get one of them!

A colored Victorinox Cadet,
Inexpensive, and looks awesome!
And I you search a little bit, you can find a leather pouch with it:)
An if money isn't a problem, a Sebenza:)

I think a lot of people give out Victorinox knives because I think everyone needs a knife, screwdriver, can opener, ect... for everyday use. Kershaw, Spyderco, Benchmade, and most any other name brand all have nice knives that make good gifts. Choose the knife that fits the person you are giving it to. Good Luck! Kevin :D
