Best Knives Under $30

The Glock is VERY nicce, but avoid the one with the saw back (it doesn't function very well). I used one as a throwing knife for a while, until the handle broke because it had a lot of bubbles in it (it was old and used when I got it). The blade needs a good sharpening when you get it, though. It comes dull a sphere.

Ones I own and like,
OKC Rat 1 $29.00
Skyline $35.00
Cold Steel (2011) medium clip blade, Voyager $32.00

I just bought the Buck 110 today for $30, out can be had for a little cheaper, just look around. A little lacquer, and now the knife is pretty much perfect. Also, you can look at the Gerber Gator (420HC). I have seen them as low as $25, and they handle very well.

Whole bunch of folders by SanRenMu, Enlan, Bee, and Navy.

- OS

Checkout thw review & testing subforum about these. Sanrenmu Bee/Enlan and Navy in quality & consistency order.

I'm lucky that my Navy are good ones, but some are not that lucky. For QC, Sanrenmu & Bee/Enlan will be a better choice. They also have some more original designs, unlike Navy that's more a blatant copy with minor changes..

Since I'm carrying this one today, I recommend this.

My Enlan EL01 is a legendarily great knife for cheap, it was 10 bucks, 15 shipped approx from exduct. holds a edge really well, very strong design and good fit and finish. the flipper is super fun as well :D

I was very impressed with all the enlan knives ive gotten so far, the el02 is a great design, and i have yet to try the SRM knives personally though i have a couple 710s and 763s in the mail :D all of which can be found for around 10 bucks.

and these aint your ten dollar gas station knife(i have had plenty of those), the enlan and SRM knives are very very good value

What steel are the Enlan or Sanrenmu knives made with? All I see is "stainless steel", not a specific type.

most of the Enlan ones (at least the ones i have) are made with 8Cr13Mov, which so far holds an edge really well. cant say for the SRM knives just yet

they are cheap enough to order a couple with no big commitment. you wont be dissapointed with the EL01 or EL02, and ive heard great things about the rest of the line and the SRM 710 and 763

Both Sanrenmu knives are also 8cr13mov, at a decent hardness (57-59). With them being very cheap for all 4, I will eventually get them all.

I just purchased the CRKT Sting and I love it!! And it cones just at the $30 mark! I have done some somestuff with this knock that I would not attempt with some of my other knifed just cause
I am to attached but the CRKT is claimed to be practically indestructible so I have taken that as a challenge! This knife is awesome!!

I recently purchased a Buck 309 companion. I think all the Buck 300 series knives are good deals. They are not perfect, but they get things right that count. Snappy springs, superb alignment, solid construction, decent blade material. You will need to sharpen them, but they will provide years of service. The smaller ones, like the 309 and 303 disappear in your pocket until you need them.

Big - CRKT Crawford Kasper (on sale for $20 on some sites now PE/PS)
Mid heavy - RAT-1, Spyderco Tenacious
Mid - Byrd Cara Cara 1 FRN (I prefer the original to the CC2), maybe a Buck Vantage Series
Mid light - Kershaw Skyline
Small - CRKT Drifter, SAK, Case

Some of these are perfect out of the box.. but a few can be transformed into great things with little ingenuity and tinkering (if that's your thing).
